The Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) Mentors Network consists of practicing DPMs and current podiatric medical students nationwide. We share the common goal of increasing interest in careers in podiatric medicine by providing a personal perspective on the practice of podiatric medicine.
The DPM Mentors Network is designed to do two things:
First, match students with a podiatric physician who practices near where they live or go to school. DPM Mentors will take the time to show students how they practice medicine, introduce them to the team of healthcare practitioners with whom they work, and answer questions about the profession. Current DPM students are also a part of our valuable network to provide insight to the rigors of graduate, medical education.
Second, the network allows pre-health advisors, science faculty and student organizations to locate a local DPM for speaking requests. We search our database to look for DPMs who will deliver the content for which advisors are searching.
